The hook for FinishLine had to be strong and painful, so what I did was write a hook that I think Anthony Hamilton would sound good singing…
Since we all know I’m not able to get Anthony Hamilton, I enlisted the services of another comrade that I knew from my high school days at Cypress Falls named John Montgomery. This cat has the exact same feel and tone I was looking for, plus he was the next best thing I had besides getting the real Anthony Hamilton!
Anyway, we did what pros do and knocked it out in about an hour or so. All we are waiting on now is the final mix! Here’s where we are so far…. Let me know what you think….
I decided to go ahead and lay down my three verses for the new song entitled “FINISHLINE”... I’ve gotten the hook written already just trying to find a voice that sounds like Anthony Hamilton to catch it just right, but I think I may have found that voice today but I’ll keep you posted about that situation.

The premise or concept for this record is talking about the transition from not knowing anything about the finishline(accomplishments, goals, etc..) in life with their being no pressure to of temptation and burdens to a gradual realization that there are things in life that we strive for to have and acheive, we just have to make sure we approach these situations wisely and take notice of what they really are! Still, when you hear the finished product, no pun intended, you’ll understand what I mean in a clearer form…Until then, African Hebrew Israelites!
"Whats My Name" prod. by The MostCold / BooKoo Beats
I just finished up recording a new record called “WHAT’S MY NAME” about an hour and a half ago…Sooner or later I’ll remember to bring a camcorder with my so ya’ll can be there with me while I do what I do!
Anyway, the concept of the song basically talks about how negatively-surreal life has become, how unthankful to GOD we as a people (Black) have become, and it also mentions the fact that I (J. Jonah) am coming to bring the truth as a soldier of YAHWEH (GOD) no matter the cost, even if my life is at stake!
When you listen to the hook, you’ll get a better understanding of the point I’m trying to make…That pretty much sums it up for this particular song. One Nation!
P.S.- Lord forgive me for the choice words that were used in this song, I wanted to grab the attention of my lost tribe!
